Last week, a thud in the porch announced the delivery of our "Audley Bible", the ring binder with all of the details of our holiday inside.
We have been reading this avidly and assembled our final questions for Abbie, who is standing in for Richard whilst he is away riding around the South of USA.
All our queries were answered and it's just the timetable for our bus to Colon outstanding, which we will find out from the reps in Buenos Aires.
On Monday, Pete had a day-trip to London on BCS business and was sitting comfortably on the Gatwick express at Victoria, when he received a phone call.
We are to be joined at our hotel in Angostura by a party of 25 tourists who are driving around the Argentine lakes. Did we mind sharing the hotel with them? We were not sure until we found out that they were all driving Bentley's - our lowly hire car will look a little out of place!
For some reason we have not been upgraded to a Bentley, but the hotel has offered to upgrade our room, so we look forward to this night's stay with eager anticipation! Watch the blog for some great pics we hope.
Our new and very light suitcases are now down from the attic and we have worked out how to set the combinations on the TSA locks. Now all we have to decide is what to put in them!
Expect the next installment once we have arrived in Gatwick for our overnight stay.
P.S. The Christmas cake has been baked and the first dollop of brandy is soaking in.
